About me

headhsot.jpg

Hello! I'm Abigail and I am a co-editor-in-chief for the Crown Point High School publication Inklings (as well as State Editor for the Indiana Junior Classical League's publication Veritas et Scientia). When I first joined staff, I wasn't sure if it was right for me or if I could be an editor-in-chief in the future, but, through a lot of hard work, I rediscovered my love for writing and storytelling.

I am not a particularly sappy person, but I can tell you that every time I ended up having an existential crisis over something going wrong, my fellow staffers were there to lift me up. I can be quite the dramatic person, but in all sincerity I have learned more about myself over the last four years than ever before.

Some of my fondest memories of high school have happened in our

J-lab (journalism lab), and I wouldn't have it any other way. Through all the coffee, late nights, memes, and quarantines, I grew as a journalist and as an individual.

Fun Facts About Yours Truly

I have a dog named Mater (yes like the Cars movies) and he is probably the most angsty old man I have ever met. We love him though because he is ICONIC.

I am someone with maybe one too many hobbies considering I taught myself to code, embroider, wood work, and sign (ASL).

I have always loved reading and before you ask no I don't have a favorite book. But, I do have a card catalogue I created for all the books I own... which is a lot.
