O-Team Leader

Having peer mentored in my time as a high schooler, I knew I wanted to pursue something similar in my collegiate experience. Through two years of being an First Year Seminar (FYS) Orientation Team Leader and one year also serving as a Co-leader, I had the opportunity to work with incoming freshman supporting their transition into college not only through education, resource sharing, and one-on-one meetings, but also through cultivating a culture of care and community in and outside of the classroom.

SCL President

After graduating high school, joining the Senior Classical League (SCL) to continue supporting bringing Classics to middle schoolers and high schoolers through the Indiana Junior Classical League (IJCL) felt like a great way to give back to an organization that gave me so much. In my time as part of the SCL, I served two terms as our Secretary and one term as our President. In these roles I worked with our members and advisors to shape membership, recruitment, volunteer at IJCL events, and promote a sense of community and care through a shared love of Classical studies.

Luddy Peer Advising

After leaving O-Team, becoming a Peer Advisor felt like a natural next step. Through this role, I worked with students on the IU Indianapolis campus by educating them on resume and networking techniques, supporting the development of thier LinkedIn profiles and resumes, and assisted with Career Events allowing students to reach for their career aspirations.

Editor-in-Chief

Throughout my four years on the Campus Citizen I held various roles like writer, Lead Copy Editor, and Campus Editor, however, the one I am most proud of is the role of Editor-in-Chief I took on in my senior year of undergrad. This role allowed me to act as a mentor, project manager, advisor, and visonary for our organization. I spearheaded many initiatives like creating a content sharing agreement with The Purude Exponent, launching PR, Finance, and Video committees, and our 15 year anniversary project.
